A reminder to all residents that the bin chutes on each level drop a considerable distance before they reach the bin.

Shatterable items such as glass and ceramics should be brought to the bin storage in the lower carpark and placed in the bin rather than dropped.

This is a particular safety concern as there may be someone in the storage room that could be impacted, as I nearly experienced this morning.

Similarly, sharp objects that may puncture or tear garbage bags should be removed.

Waste must also be securely bagged to prevent excessive spillage.
