Interesting article in yesterday’s Age.
The claim is “Flexible braided hoses accounted for more than one in five water damage claims lodged by Australian households in 2016, according to new research released by general insurer IAG.”

WOW that is sobering. We should check out all the flexible hoses we have and find replace by dates. Or maybe just get in a plumber now to do all the legible hoses in our apartment. That’s got to be cheaper and less disruptive than insurance excesses, not to mention the disruption of an unliveable home.
