Not quite what was there before but at least these trees breakup the wide barren footpath.
They are only temporary until the Metro Tunnel is done and then we will get ‘real’ trees back again…a few years away.

Millie is working her way along St Kilda Rd at a rate of around 10m per day. If you look over the fence you can see a marker to show where she is today. It’s easy to see from the footpath on the eastern side of St Kilda Rd.
At the moment she is almost to Bowen Lane. She is named after Millie Peacock the first woman elected to the Victorian Parliament. More on that Millie here
Alice hasn’t yet got moving but her marker is there too..but a bit further back of course.
Each year we run a survey, I’d really appreciate if you could take the time to complete it.

Note that the TBM has completed 51m and paused to fit back end gantries. I expect that Millie will pass The Botanica in June.
Trees still scheduled for mid-May…next week
Earlier this year SE Water replaced our various water meters. A few people have commented that their most recent bill was lower than previous ones and this was odd since we’re all washing hands a LOT more.
If you are comfortable please comment and share your usage..plus number of people.

Top car park ok tomorrow but closed 9am-3pm Monday
To complete the fix for the roller-door in the top car park, it will be closed from 9am to 3pm on Friday.

I wondered what happened to the orange poles out the front that show the edge of the tram tracks…I looked though the camera footage and was surprised what I found.
Thanks to the Trammie and the Ped who cleaned it all up.
