Noise issues with the old Ace Car parking development

I have spoken to the relevant people at City of Port Phillip about out of hours deliveries and early morning starts.

Their approved hours of work are

  • Monday – Friday 7am – 6pm
  • Saturday 9am – 5pm
  • Sunday – no work

There should be nothing delivered out of hours.

You can ring the City of Port Phillip during the ‘out of hours’ times if necessary and follow the ’emergency’ prompt. They will then despatch some as soon as possible.

If not urgent – take photos / videos and report via CoPP web site.

Noise from Chiller/vents

Some of you noticed that there seemed to be some noise from the vents/chillers during the recent hot days,

Jan hassled them and managed to get this reply

Hi Jan

We recently had a ‘tunnel blockade’, which means we stop train testing to allow workforce to access the tunnels to complete minor rectification works.
Due to this, the tunnel ventilation, over-track ventilation fans and chiller plant were all operating (at high capacity due to the heat) to provide fresh air to workforce in the tunnels and to cool the station.

Ventilation systems will not operate over the shutdown, which is until 14 January (CYP staff will return on 6 January). The chiller plant will continue to operate as required.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards, Dan

Car crash out the front

Amazing what the cameras pick up – love to understand what the offender was doing?? The Tesla driver had just parked and got rego details but a fake phone number. Reported to Police.

Poor your girl from RAV4 told me it looks like her car will be written off – can’t open / close door. Damage to front and back.

Heritage Victoria response on ugly hatch near driveway

I thought I’d formally ask Heritage Victoria their position on this ugly monstrosity that they had approved.

I received this reply

“We are of the view that the finish is appropriate and ties in with the finish of other service hatches and inset infrastructure associated with the project.  Consideration of other options took place with the conclusion being that a painted finish will raise additional maintenance issues and cladding the cover and surround in sawn bluestone or similar would increase the weight and visual presence of the access hatch. “

Mind boggling
