Building break in
As you are probably aware, we had a break in last weekend. Items were taken from a few cages and they removed our on site recording device. It seems that the thieves gained access using a stolen building fob.
We have updated our security and are currently working with the police to further reduce our risks.
What should you do?
- Be aware that storage cages are vulnerable. Cages in neighbouring building have also been targetted.
- Be aware that thieves have also been targetting key fobs in cars. Please avoid leaving your fob in your car and ensure your car is locked.
- Report odd behaviours to Paul
- Do NOT put yourself at risk if you see someone behaving oddly. If you think the issue is serious then please call the police.
Artwork / Scaffolding removal
Apologies for my recent absence from the blogspace. After 3 years working on the Metro Tunnel project, I was granted some long service leave and headed up to the snow for a break.

CYP removed the artwork out the front last week – here is a short video of their work
CYP have agreed to let us use the artwork permanently in our lower car park and we are working out the most suitable locations and installation method. The artist will also be acknowledged.
The scaffolding was supposed to come down on Saturday but was halted due to wet weather. It will be rescheduled

Police Building to stay a little longer

In case you missed the news a week or so ago, the developers of the old Police Building have decided not to develop the site after all. This is despite having pre-sold 40% of the apartments.

Driveway – difficulties on Saturday

Hopefully it won’t look quite as bad as this …but on Saturday there will be some difficulties in getting in and out of the lower car park.
You should have received notification, but if yopu are concerned call the 1800 105 105 number
BTW – This photo of St Kilda Rd tram works is courtesy of the State Library. There are more fabulous photos over near the Cobbers Statue in the Shrine grounds.
