Intercom – Mobile call diversion unit
This is for people who have purchased the additional unit that allows them to use their mobile phone to ‘answer the door’
Here is the full instruction book
It is all covered in there but a few hints from me – done from memory, so I hope it is right
- The app you need on your phone is called UrMet CallMe. It is available for Apple and Android
- You have to create an account in the app
- The email that comes back is from an Italian website (Urmet) and is highly likely to be in your spam folder.
- When you are setting it up you will need to connect to a wifi ‘link’ called something like URMETCALLFW-abcd It will tell you and you only do this once but it is a bit tricky
- Write down the letters at the end…..abcd in the above example
- That is your password – your password is abcd-abcd Yes you repeat the same characters with a hyphen in between
- It seems you only need one account for all the family – means all phones that have the app running will ‘ring’ when the front door is buzzed
Only other tricks when you are using
- You must have the app running to get buzzed from the front door
- Some battery saving things on phones will turn it off. Be careful
- When it pops up…there is an ‘open gate’ and an ‘open door’, you need to hit ‘open door’
Still day 1 for me too – hope this all helps
Intercom – all working
Epsilon were here today and tell me that all intercoms are now working. I have done exhaustive testing – mine. I know that Paul has tested quite a few and so I am confident that we’re OK.
Please test yours and let Paul know if you have problems.
They still need to update the panel at the front door to say – press apartment number and then the bell…but it all works and most people will work it out.
The plasterer/painter was here today patching holes. If you have not already done so, please talk to Paul to ensure your apartment is on his list.
Basic instructions are here
I will do another post for people with the mobile phone unit
Intercom upgrade – Update
All scheduled new intercoms have been installed but the system is NOT fully operational. All units on Level 7 are not working at all and mobile phone connection system not yet enabled.
Epsilon security guys will be here again Monday/Tuesday
Keep Paul informed if you are having issues
Intercom – Tidyup work
Daniel, the painter/plasterer, will be on site on Monday to begin his reparation work around the new intercoms.
Can you let Paul know if you will be around on Monday / Tuesday or if you wish to leave a key.
This work will be spread over a couple of weeks
Intercom upgrade next week
Full details are in the Circular to Residents – Intercom Upgrade Installation
There should have been a copy in your letterbox also.
It is all happening next Wednesday and Friday – make sure you book a slot to have yours done.
Letterbox keys
By the end of today all letterbox keys will have been changed. The new system is much more secure.
You need to see Paul and sign for your two new keys. Without a new key you cannot get your mail.
If you can’t see him during his normal hours, contact him and make alternative arrangements.
His phone is 0467 444 074, his email is Botanica400@tpg.com.au
Save the date – September 12
I know that many of you are hanging out for the big event of 2017 – The Botanica AGM!! Details on the venue are a tightly kept secret but it will be good.
In the next 12 months the Metro Rail project will have a big impact on us all, come and find out the latest news.
Major impact on footpath outside Botanica
You should have seen this document in your letterbox
2017 07 MM NOTIFICATION 030717 Service Relocations Update[37827]
It outlines some major work that will impact us greatly. Essentially John Holland will be digging up the footpath from Bowen Crescent to Bowen Lane, immediately next to our wall. They need to do this to move all of the telecommunications cables that run under the footpath – essentially moving them further from the road edge (and effectively further from the edge of the new station).
More information will be coming out from John Holland soon.
Be aware
- There will be a outage of around 4 hours when no access will be available to/from the basement car park. We have suggested to lowest impact is likely to be 10am-2pm on a Tuesday or Thursday. They will give us notice beforehand
- There will be no street parking immediately outside our building
- The work will commence around next Monday and take around one month
- We have stressed safe access for pedestrians is essential.
Don’t forget to check out the ongoing photos of the tram work here
